Fees include VAT where it applies and vary with the complexity of the treatment. They are reviewed every January.
How medical aid works here
- Claims submitted for you
- We submit claims directly to most South African medical schemes on the day of your visit.
- Our own rates
- Our fees can be higher than your scheme's rate. If they are, the difference is a co-payment, and we tell you what to expect first.
- Written quotes
- Anything beyond a check-up is quoted in writing, with the procedure and ICD-10 codes your scheme needs.
- Ways to pay
- Card, tap or EFT. Payment for your portion is due on the day of treatment.

Why is there a co-payment if I have medical aid?
Schemes set their own rate for each procedure. If the practice fee is higher, or your dental benefit or savings have run out, the balance is yours to pay. Our patient guide on dental fees explains this in more detail.
Do I need pre-authorisation?
Some plans require it for crowns, root canals or treatment under sedation. We send you the quote with the codes so you can request it, and we can help with the forms.
Do you charge for missed appointments?
We ask for 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel, so we can offer the time to someone else. Repeated missed appointments may be charged.
